A great budget trip, Horizon Motorcycle Travel would be happy to arrange it for you! Two or three days of driving and enjoying the beautiful landscapes at a special price.
The Ardennes is a unique area. It offers beautiful nature and remarkable castles, but especially beautiful driving roads in a forested area! That's why this area is very popular among motorcyclists. The roads are magnificent, the landscape is green: the beautiful rolling hills and mostly forested surroundings make this area unique! And you'll stay in a nice hotel. The hotel is budget-friendly, with comfortable rooms and all the facilities for a pleasant stay.
The outward journey (first day) and return journey (last day) you will drive on your own initiative.
Day route 1: Tour of the Ardennes | 243 / 357 km
Today, you have the choice between a long and a short route. The long route takes you on an extra loop through the southernmost part of the Ardennes. Today's ride takes you through fields with beautiful views and good, winding roads. You will pass through various old villages with many castles and tourist attractions. After about 25 km, you will pass through Chapelle et Village de Somal, where you will see Chateau de Somal on your right. It is located in the town of Somme-Leuze, an area known for its many castles. The roads here alternate between straight sections and winding bends. The long route first takes you through the town of Gedinne, located in the beautiful valley of the Houille, in the heart of a wooded area in the Ardennes. The route then continues on winding roads to Bouillon, where it makes an extra loop past Chateau de Bouillon. You will continue on the route along winding roads. About 40 km before reaching the hotel, you will pass through the town of La Roche-en-Ardennen, which is a very beautiful place with a ruin of a feudal castle. It is a very popular tourist attraction, known for its breathtaking views and cafes serving delicious local products. Finally, you will ride the last kilometers back to the hotel.
Day route 2: Ardennes - Luxemburg | 261 / 326 km
On this day, you have the choice of a long or short route. Today's route takes you, among other things, to the beautiful Lac de la Haute Sure. This is a meandering river where the route gives you beautiful views over the water. In the process, you'll pick up a few kilometres through beautiful Luxembourg. The eastern Ardennes, bordering Luxembourg, welcome motorcyclists with a patchwork of forested hills and picturesque valleys. The winding roads take you through picturesque villages and past historic castles, while enjoying the interplay between natural splendour and cultural heritage. This region offers a perfect balance between captivating rides and enchanting landscapes for an unforgettable motorcycling experience.
