1.1. Making a booking
Concluding a travel agreement is done through the booking process on the website. Each tour has its own booking page, where all personal details can be filled in. You can also opt for a booking by phone, where you give your consent by telephone for Horizon Motorcycle Travel to make a booking. The details will then be filled in for you. 1.2. Booking of a Self-Guided Tour
Concluding a travel agreement is done through the booking process on the website. Each trip has its own booking page, where all details can be filled in. You can also opt for a telephone booking, where you give your consent by telephone for Horizon Motor Reizen to make a booking. After completing a booking, you will receive a booking confirmation by e-mail within minutes.
Individual trips can be booked with us throughout the year. Horizon Motor Tours does not reserve rooms in advance for individual trips. Upon receipt of a booking, overnight stays (and any additions) are reserved. It may happen that a hotel does not have standard availability, giving us a proposal for a more luxurious room with an extra charge. It may also happen that we request availability at a similar hotel, where room rates are higher. We will then always contact you first, before continuing the booking.

5. Terms and conditions from Horizon Motorcycle Travel
5.1. Liability
All travellers on Horizon Motorcycle Travel must hold a valid driving licence for their respective vehicle. Travellers taking part in our motorbike tours ride under their own responsibility at all times, whether riding individually or in a group. Horizon Motorcycle Travel cannot be held liable in case of accidents or other damages. Any liability of Horizon Motorcycle Travel for immaterial, indirect, consequential or business damage is excluded. Horizon Motorcycle Travel is not liable if there is force majeure.
5.2. Travel provider legislation (Article 7:512 Dutch Civil Code)
The tour operator shall take the necessary measures to ensure that, if he cannot or cannot any longer fulfil his obligations towards the traveller due to financial insolvency, he shall arrange for his obligations to be assumed by another person or that the travel sum or, if the trip has already been partly enjoyed, a proportionate part thereof, shall be reimbursed. If the traveller has already arrived at the destination, insofar as the travel agreement covers such transport, he must in any event arrange for the return journey.
The travel organisation shall disclose the measures referred to in the first paragraph by stating them in the generally available prospectus or other publication referred to in Article 501, or in another comprehensible and accessible manner.
5.3. How does Horizon Motorcycle Travel organise this?
Horizon Motorcycle Travel complies with this law because you travel with your own vehicle during our trips and can therefore return to your homecountry with your own transport at all times. If you have booked a trip with a rental motorbike, it is already fully paid for at the start of the trip. All trips that we organise using a ferry or flight are fully paid in advance, after the first deposit, so as a traveller you are guaranteed of your return ticket at the moment of departure. So even in these cases, it is always possible to return to your country of origin at no extra cost.
5.4. Travel Guarantee Fund Foundation (SGR)
Because of the high costs and conditions required to become and remain a member of SGR, Horizon Motorcycle Travel has decided not to join SGR. Since its establishment in 1993, Horizon Motorcycle Travel has never had a participant fail to complete his or her trip due to financial insolvency, partly because of this the risk for you as a traveller is so small that paying extra for this guarantee has no added value.
5.5. Accommodations
All accommodation booked by Horizon Motorcycle Travel for your booked trip has been carefully selected. If you choose a single room, a surcharge is payable. This surcharge is a compensation for the owner of the accommodation, because as a single person you almost always occupy a double room.
5.6. In conclusion
Horizon Motorcycle Travel does its utmost to make your motorbike holiday run smoothly and carefree. Unfortunately, it may sometimes happen that you are faced with imperfections during your trip. If this is the case, you should immediately report this to the service provider concerned, so they can find an appropriate solution. The liability of Horizon Motorcycle Travel under Article 7:509 of the Dutch Civil Code is limited to a maximum of 3 times the paid travel sum. If the shortcoming is not resolved within a reasonable time and detracts from the quality of your trip, you should report this immediately to Horizon Motorcycle Travel, via: +31 (0)493 320 235.
