Budget tour to the Ardennes

Nice trip for a quick getaway. I had arranged it at the last minute and received word that it had been arranged soon after I signed up. Moments later the mail with the routes that were quick to load on the garmin. Divided into short and long day routes Day 1 The way through Limburg was just a bit too much for me. From Belgium this was less and I ended up in the hotel in La Roche. Day Two A nice round trip with a variety of sometimes challenging but mostly nice and relaxing. We encountered little traffic and enjoyed the mountainous surroundings. Day 3 The return trip was to my experience a bit long, 7 hours, but nice to see that we did not touch routes that I had driven the way there. What you have to keep in mind in the Ardennes is that the road quality is sometimes very poor on the smaller roads. Especially near La Roche it is better to drive on the left side of the road. The town itself was nice and characteristic. Plenty of eateries The hotel was neat and clean and OK for a tour. A bit small but you are only there to sleep. I did miss the air conditioning but there was a fan for that So if you want to steer a couple of days on a budget it is absolutely fine.
