It looks different every time because of the enormously rich, varied and inviting nature.
The outward journey (first day) and return journey (last day) you will drive on your own initiative.
Day route 1 | Alsace - Vosges Du Nord | 237 / 346 km
Today, there is a lot of steering on the programme. You start the route right away with a series of clear and nice curves through a forest environment. After a few kilometres you arrive in Lembach, a typical French village with beautiful half-timbered houses and a large winery. You continue the route through the Finsterthal, the many forests and beautiful views follow one another. You are now entering Col du Donon. A beautiful road with lots of curves with mostly good tarmac. The highest point you reach is 813m. After the Col du Donon follows the Col de la Charboniere (960m). Again, a beautiful winding road with mostly good tarmac. After all these Colls you arrive at Mont Ste Odile. On top of this 760m high mountain is the Mont Sainte Odile monastery. It is a nice place for a short walk or a visit to the monastery. On the last part of the route, we make a diversion to take a few more delightful bends on a beautiful small road through the forest.
Day route 2 | Palatinate region | 232 / 306 km
The second day route takes you into the Palatinate region and through the Palatinate Forest. A beautiful, but often unknown region to many. You start the route immediately with a nice view of the surroundings and the region's vineyards. After a few kilometres, you turn left and have a view of the old city wall of Wissembourg on your right. This town was the scene of decisive battles in 1870 and then 1944 and 1945. A stop in Wissenbourg is highly recommended, have your camera or smartphone ready, this town demands to be photographed. You continue the route stand and then you enter Falkenstein and are warned of a 25% slope. This is in the middle of the village. O course, even here the lovely steering continues! You ride back to the hotel via Lembach.
Day route 3 | Alsace West | 238 km
Today's route takes you through the western part of Alsace via a bit of the German Palatinate Forest. Today's roads are very winding, which makes for great steering. This day you will pass through the town of Bitche, among other places. Here, a visit to the ancient Citadel du Bitche, which is located on top of the rocks, is highly recommended! After Bitche, you will soon enough be back in Alsace and green vistas will come your way. After La Petite Pierre, you come across a great panoramic view.
This day route is only for the 5-day trip.
