Everyone knows the Frisian Elfstedentocht from skating, but the tour is also fantastic on a motorbike. Old town centres, beautiful lakes and over well-known places, such as the Bonkevaart. A wonderful voyage of discovery in this northern province. Our route follows the Elfsteden skating route and leads you right through all the Frisian Elfsteden with their monumental squares with many terraces and sights. It is also possible to add a day to visit one or more sights yourself, besides the route. The Horizon Motor Tours team will be happy to arrange it for you! 

The outward journey (first day) and return journey (last day) you will drive on your own initiative.

The Frisian Motor 11-Cities Tour can be ridden in two or three days. You can choose to ride the short and long route. You can also choose to do half of the loop on one day and the other half the other day. In Bolsward, you are about halfway and in 10 km you are back at the hotel. It is recommended to leave immediately after breakfast, because there is plenty to see along the way!

Of course, the route leads you to all eleven cities: Sneek, Sloten, Stavoren, Hindelopen, Workum and Bolsward. The Greidhoeke is a clay farming area, where Harlingen, Franeker and Dokkum are located. Aldtsjerk is located in the Northern Frisian Woods and Leeuwarden, the capital of the province, is also worth a visit.

Of course, prominent places such as the Bonkevaart, Bartlehiem, the Luts and the Hel van het Noorden are also included in the route. You stay in the centre of Sneek, which has a beautiful old town centre. This invites you to take a walk and afterwards you can relax at one of the many cosy terraces.
