This tour with 20 privé participants was bathed in sun-drenched scenery. The 11 towns and surrounding villages are real gems. Some minor bad luck with 2x closed roads which forced us to detour completely because of all those watercourses. The villages and towns are picturesque, there were village festivals that weekend so the houses were richly decorated. The landscape is mostly wide and very flat, but the occasional drive through a forest (Dogwood) is welcome. Hotel VDV oké, nice chilled rooms, with plenty of accessible parking and fuel nearby. Extensive breakfast, dinner also more than sufficient. Best to follow the track from HMR with a Zumo XT1 or XT2, there dare be conflicts between TT and Here. After my experience with 2-Dirty adventures ( Piedmont and Pyreneesën ) this was quite doable with 20 people spread over 12 bikes and on regular roads. The roads are in excellent condition. Except on a stretch of winding road where they used two types of asphalt with different friction coëfficiënt, causing myself to slide 5 times and practically all the other following participants. Fortunately, we were able to adjust and no one fell. A tip : the Tile Bridge. These you drive past in no time, you have to set them as a POI. Parking there is extremely difficult. Other tip : do this trip in 2 or even 3 days so you have time to stop more. Start the day trip before 9:00 am. Dokkum was one of my favorite spots.
