Normandy

Trip to Normandy

End of July 2023 did an 8 day trip to Normandië, kwa set up Horizon has it right, starting in Ypres an account of the Great War, would not have wanted to miss and the course of the Great War . Then Dieppe a beautiful coastal town. The 3rd,4th and 5th day to the invasion beaches and memorials. especially the American cemetery is more than impressive. Unfortunately we could not find the German cemetery. (too badly indicated). Day 6 witnessed the landing of the 13,000 paratroopers in the Airbone museum. Unfortunately the 360 km ride in combination to Rouen was too long. Day 7 a really nice motorcycle ride through the rolling French countryside to Arras.
