We joined the MotoPort Horizon trip to the Palatinate over the Easter weekend. This was the first time for us and therefore we were curious what to expect. The travel documents and itineraries were mailed to us well in advance and we were able to prepare ourselves at our leisure. The first day from Aachen we took a beautiful route through the Eifel and the Palatinate where Carlo Bankers and his team were waiting for us at the hotel. The sun was still shining nicely on the terrace where we could meet the other participants while enjoying a beer of the organization. At half past seven we had a fine buffet dinner and afterwards we had a drink at the bar. The next morning after a hearty breakfast we drove the beautiful route to the east through hilly forests and vineyards, which took us the whole day over the 264 km. The 3rd day a beautiful route through the Vosges, conquered 2 colls and rode with a club of motorcyclists that fit my riding style, wonderful! After arriving at the hotel Carlo and I repaired a Harley so it could continue the next morning as well. Day 4: Back to the hotel. Day 4 back home with another beautiful route with lots of curves to the north. At the height of Blankenheim it unfortunately started to rain, where we drove home via the freeway. Then we drove back home. Looking back we can conclude that the trip was excellently organized, good hotel and beautiful routes.
