The Harz is a nice quiet area for motorcycling, with  beautiful varied routes with nice curves. Villages with a nice old center with half-timbered houses you have to search consciously, further many villages you pass through are very quiet without the possibility to sit on a terrace, it's just what you come for.. In one  of the routes I rode on Sunday, they had recently closed many roads for motorcyclists on Sundays, good to include that in the information. The hotel in Salzgitter-bad was perfect, friendly staff, good rooms and food. It is located on a nice square with terraces.
